FOFMI’s Journey to Badin: A Revival of Faith, Fellowship, and Service

"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."                             – Mark 10:45 (KJV)

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."  – 1 Corinthians 15:58

Foundations of Faith Missions International (FOFMI) embarked on an exciting trip to Badin to join Overseer Bishop Dr. C. Worthem and Bishop M. Penn, for the Badin Revival. The trip was headed up by Apostle Hoffman and the FOFMI Missions team. They took this opportunity to minister, support, and serve. The journey itself became a powerful moment of teaching and spiritual preparation. This was not just a trip, but a journey of faith, service, and rejuvenation. Along the way, the team experienced divine encounters, powerful lessons, and moments of deep connection that left an incredible impact on all who were present.

On the road to Badin, Apostle Hoffman set the tone with a profound lesson drawn from Luke 8:1-3 and John 21:25, exploring the life of Jesus and His masterful ability to build relationships. Jesus didn’t just offer words—He invested time, care, and healing into people. Jesus’ influence was rooted in His selfless investment in people—always coming with help and compassion. Apostle Hoffman reminded the team that the measure of what we invest in others, be it time, effort, or love, directly impacts the return we receive. This message resonated as a call to service: We are here to serve, not to be served. It was about giving, not receiving, and ensuring that their motives were rooted in Christ-like love and service.

Apostle’s words emphasized the importance of pure motives in serving others. "What are you investing in people?" he asked, urging the team to focus on the impact their connections have on others. This lesson became a recurring theme throughout the revival experience, preparing the team for what lay ahead.

As they arrived for the second night of service on Saturday evening, they were greeted with overwhelmingly warm hospitality. During the service, they heard from two dynamic speakers Elder Thomas III and Bishop Fulmore.

Elder Thomas delivered a powerful message from Joshua 1:9, encouraging everyone to "Just Go For It." Elder emphasized stepping boldly into new seasons with confidence, knowing that God’s blessings of healing, deliverance and breakthrough, are already within reach—they’re already ours, however, they require courage and unity to attain. It wasn’t just about individual victories; it was about collective strength and a shared legacy; reminding everyone that God's command to "be strong and courageous" is not just an encouragement but a direct instruction.

Bishop followed with a powerful word from Ephesians 2:19-22, reminding the congregation that when God is the builder, His glory is at the center of everything. "Holiness is a lifestyle," he declared, urging believers to stay committed to God's will. Drawing parallels to Nehemiah, he emphasized that God's people must come first, and when His glory is restored to a place, transformation follows.

Sunday morning’s service overflowed with anticipation. The saints gathered with hearts full of praise, ready to receive the word—expecting it to come from Overseer, who shared exciting plans for the Badin Project, aimed at revitalizing the community.

Much to the congregation’s surprise, they were in for an unexpected treat when Overseer introduced Apostle Hoffman to bring forth the Word. He exhorted the congregation with a powerful message: “Don’t Sell Out,” reminding everybody that “What you have is far      more valuable than what the enemy is offering.” He also emphasized to everyone that God's blessings and their rich history were invaluable treasures that should never be sold for anything of lesser worth. His message ignited a fire in the hearts of those present, inspiring everyone to continue in the work of the ministry and follow the vision of their leaders.

On the way back home the FOFMI Missions team decided to make one more crucial stop. True to FOFMI's mission of serving others, the team made a meaningful stop in the heart of Atlanta. They distributed water to the homeless, visited a homeless shelter, prayed for those in need and sang praises to encourage those they encountered. One of the most touching moments came through an encounter with a mother and her children when Minister David took the opportunity to minister to them through prayer, offering them hope, love, comfort and encouragement in a time of need.

Later on, that evening, the team also met a young woman named Giovanni, who despite her struggles, delivered a beautiful heartfelt rendition of "I Believe I Can Fly" as a small token of gratitude for the help she received. After that, Apostle Hoffman and the team prayed for her safety and protection. It was moments like these that underscored the message Apostle Hoffman had shared on the bus—the importance of investing in others with love and compassion.

Reflecting on the trip, the team came to the realization that this trip was more than a revival; it was a living testament to faith in action. FOFMI's mission of investing in others—whether through prayer, teaching, or simple acts of kindness—left a lasting impact on the people they encountered. The entire experience reinforced their belief that when God builds, no enemy can stand against it.

FOFMI's journey to Badin was a powerful reminder of what can happen when we invest in others and trust God to lead the way. Through their ministry and outreach, they demonstrated that true revival begins with a heart of service and a commitment to building His Kingdom. The humanity and heart behind the mission of FOFMI were on full display during this trip, as they lived out their call to serve and uplift others. We look forward to witnessing more of their impactful work as they continue to answer God’s call to spread faith and love across the world.

This journey was a profound reminder of what can be achieved when faith is paired with action. FOFMI’s dedication to uplifting others through service, prayer, and teaching demonstrated the essence of true revival—a revival that begins with selfless love and unwavering faith.

As FOFMI continues to answer God’s call, their mission grows. The Badin Project, an initiative aimed at revitalizing the community, stands as a testament to their commitment to building His Kingdom. Yet, such impactful work requires collective effort.
