Course Description

This graduate course in ministry provides a focused study of Holy Scriptures and addresses both theoretical and practical challenges faced by church leaders. It emphasizes advancing the Kingdom of God.

Master of Christology

This degree is conferred upon students who complete an in-depth study of the core of Christian faith—Christ. The course builds advanced knowledge of Christ, including His eternal nature, earthly ministry, and current role. Coursework expands on foundational concepts learned at the bachelor level and culminates in a thesis.

Course Goals and Objectives

This course provides training for ministers and leaders by exploring philosophical, theoretical, and practical topics relevant to church leadership. The objectives are:

  • Understand Christian attitudes, behaviors, and motives.
  • Improve teaching clarity, immediacy, and communication style.
  • Transition from theory to application.
  • Reflect on your ministerial identity.
  • Develop effective teaching methodologies.

Course Policies

Attendance and Participation

Attendance and participation are mandatory. Students must come prepared, complete reading assignments, and actively engage in discussions, which are essential for processing material. Absences should be communicated to the instructor immediately. Each unexcused absence may result in a half-letter grade deduction (50 points). Classes may be conducted as Webinars.

Extra Credit

Extra credit is not available in this course.

Submitting Assignments

  • Assignments must be typed, double-spaced, and adhere to formatting guidelines (12-point Times New Roman, 1-inch margins).
  • Non-compliant assignments will not be graded.
  • Include a cover page in APA style for all submissions (except for blog posts).

Late Work

A 48-hour automatic extension is available for assignments (excluding weekly discussions). Assignments submitted after this period will receive a zero. No further extensions are permitted.

Policy on Incompletes

An “Incomplete” grade is awarded only when 75% of coursework is completed and justified by a valid reason (e.g., medical or military).

Student Behavior

Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Students engaging in such behavior may be removed from class or referred to administration. Expectations apply to all instructional forums.

Code of Student Conduct

Adherence to the Code of Student Conduct regarding academic integrity is mandatory.

  • Cheating includes unauthorized aid during exams, using others' work as your own, or any dishonest behavior to fulfill course requirements.
  • Plagiarism involves using others' ideas or words without proper credit, failing to acknowledge direct quotes, or paraphrasing improperly. Proper citation guidelines must follow APA standards.

Penalties for violations can range from a zero on the assignment to course failure.
